Leaves
We went to Latvia for the congress together with my mum and our friends. We all knew that it was not just a trip, but something more - a time to be together, to immerse ourselves in new experiences, to be close to each other. Latvia welcomed us with its coolness, majestic nature and peaceful atmosphere.
During the congress I did not miss the opportunity to take photos of everything around me with my phone. The camera became my way of preserving moments that for others might have gone unnoticed. Sometimes when there are a lot of people and conversations around, nature seems to recede into the background, but in those rare moments of silence it became especially close.
In one of these moments I noticed the plants around us - in the corner of the hall, in the shady places outside, near our friends, immersed in conversation. A fern with large, deep green leaves seemed to be telling its own story of time. I took a picture of it - the leaves looked mysterious and majestic, as if they had always been there, silently observing everything around them.
A little later, my gaze stopped on a lone leaf, subtly stretched out in silence. Its lines were soft and flowing, as if inviting me to linger and listen to their story. I took another picture - it was a moment of peace in the midst of a busy day, like a small private sanctuary from the noise and movement.
These photographs are more than just images to me. They are reminders of the time spent with my mum and our friends, of the meaning and stillness that can be found even amongst the crowds. They remind me that important moments are sometimes hidden in simple details that can only be seen by slowing down and letting nature speak to us.
